Good news Jim Bopp, vice chairman of the RNC is proposing a resolution to requires that GOP candidates prove not only with their campaign speeches, but also with their voting record that they embrace at least eight of ten conservative principles. I have my doubts it will be adopted but its definitely a move in the right direction. Read article on this proposal:

Monty,
You are so right. My local Republican party approves of any candidate, platform, etc.. the state & national GOP tells them too, without question. I maintain in order to make that change we need to start at home and change the local party leadership, which in turn will change the upper levels of leadership? Am I correct, or are the upper leaders imune and isolated from local leadership?

Thanks, Jim Rice, Kansas

Today is 9/11 and as with most Americans I can remember 9/11/01 so vividly. I am seeing the tide turn, as more corruption is being exposed and Representatives are willing to speak the truth outloud, Acorn is being separated from the Census and E-Verify is going to require that jobs go to Citizens. Here we are in Washington at the JW Marriott on Pennsylvania Blvd. Went to a gathering at Freedom Works, who are sponsoring this huge Rally tomorrow. Met Dick Army and many other people, watched the sun go down on the roof of the Freedom Works building and the lights of the Capital Building come up. I have met many ICaucus members and some of my District Leaders from California. I have met people from many States here to stand up. We walked down to the White House to take a look, saw Beau the Dog. Now we are making our signs for tomorrow. This is historical, and to be a part of the movement is absolutely amazing. I will be riding in the March, I severly sprained my ankle on the first day of this trip. I am walking very slowly so my husband has borrowed a wheelchair from the hotel. Oh well nothing would keep me away from this event.

I've been in VA since Wednesday morning, this morning my husband and I are heading to Washington DC, I will be posting here how things go. I know we are attending a Reception at Freedom Works tonight with Mason Weaver. Mason is going through the Independence Caucus vetting process to run for Congress. He is going to be a speaker tomorrow. Once we arrive in Washington, we be searching for ICaucus members and taking photos.

I am very excited to be a part of the great March on Washington, we are ready to take our Country back. I will be spreading the word about Independence Caucus and letting people know that this March must have a follow-up and that is to remove these corrupt representatives in 2010.

Well I need to get ready to get the rental car and start the drive. I'll be back.

thanks Steph CA

Hold the phone here! Let's inject some actual facts:

1. The Catholic Adoption Agency has quietly been placing children with Gay couples for 20 years and was shocked to learn that, despite their objections, a Catholic bishop had made the request to then-Governor Mitt Romney. The agency itself had voted unanimously to uphold the practice of placing children into Gay homes. Don't believe me? See this.

2. The parental arrest case you are referring to is that of David Parker in Lexington, Mass, who was arrested for trespassing, not protesting. So one public school superintendant oversteps his bounds and it's a conspiracy? Sheesh!

Meanwhile, if I get hit by a truck while on an out of town trip, my spouse, the love of my life, and my medical decision maker may wait precious hours to be with me because a power of attorney document in our safe at home has to be faxed before they will even let her in the room with me. Or if I die, the house, cars, boat and motorcycles we own together may all have to be sold just so she can afford the taxes on what we built together.

Take your airy-fairy "smoking" analogy and try a couple of days in MY shoes. Maybe then you won't think we aren't asking for just some basic legal protections.

So true, so true. We have made service a key part of our lives. I just can't wait until it's forced on us by the gov't (said tongue firmly in cheek). Keep up the good work - we're making inroads. :)

I'm looking for a candidate who will play by the old rules of politics (being accountable to the people and connecting with/representing them rather than cozying up to the money and the culture of D.C.) and then I intend to support that candidate as you guys supported Chaffetz. Honestly I would even be that candidate if I could not find someone else more qualified up here in the first district.

The vote is not final yet, but they've pretty much told them to come back with a workable business plan and we'll fund you. So the preliminary vote favors the auto giants.
